Membership

We’re glad you’re here!

Thanks for your interest in joining the Gville Flyers. We think it’s the best value in aviation, and the club environment is a great way to keep learning, stay safe, and share the fun of aviation. We seek to make aviation accessible to anyone who shares our passion for the sky—regardless of gender, race, or religion.

Eligibility

Members of the Gville Flyers must hold at least a private pilot certificate for single-engine land airplanes. To act as PIC in the club aircraft, members must meet all FAA currency requirements and complete an annual checkout with the club Safety Officer or designated flight instructor.

Membership Capacity

We have a limit of 10 members per airplane. With nine current members, we are accepting inquiries from new members. Once we hit our limit, we will open a waiting list for new prospective members.

Costs

Equity buy-in is currently $15,000. This fee gives you ownership shares in the club and its assets. Equity funds provide capital for major purchases, such as aircraft or avionics upgrades. If you decide to leave the club someday, other members have first right of refusal to buy back your shares, or you may sell them to a new member who is approved by the club.

Monthly dues are currently $270. Dues cover fixed costs of the club, including aircraft financing, hangar, insurance, subscriptions to avionics databases, legal and accounting fees, and social events.

Hourly fees for use of the aircraft are currently $40/hour (dry). We charge for flight time based on the tachometer, which generally moves slower than the Hobbs meter. The dry rate means members provide their own fuel. Hourly charges cover variable costs such as oil changes, unexpected maintenance, and reserve funds for eventual overhaul of the engine and propeller.

Prospective members should review and be prepared to sign the Operating Agreement and Aircraft Operating Guidelines as a condition of membership.

Once you have decided the Gville Flyers is right for you, please complete the membership application. We will review the application and be in touch to discuss next steps. If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to contact us.
